Big fun with Google Alerts
Ok so its not BIG fun, but Google Alerts, not only useful, can be pretty amusing. We use Google Alerts to get notified whenever Pronetos, our competitors, or industry leaders are mentioned in the press. It’s just one more way to keep abreast of the business landscape out there. But there are also some fun things you can do.
For instance, I have my name set as an alert. So every time “Chris Blanchard” pops up somewhere on the Internets, I get notified. Apparently, Chris Blanchard the organic farmer from the midwest is pretty active, as is Chris Blanchard the Napa Valley Sommelier. Of course it is always best to see your own name mentioned in the press, and this morning I was in the widely read BSU student newspaper, The Arbiter. Credit the Arbiter for choosing really interesting things to talk about, and people to interview.
