So just after Boise State University CIO/CTO David O’Neill restores my faith in humanity, a lame federal judge brings me back to sad, sad reality. Today, ersatz developer Gary Rogers and his failed Boise Place project faced liquidation. In bankruptcy court this monrning, the judge told the developer:

“If you don’t have the money, I don’t understand why you don’t close up shop and go do something else.”

So the judge liquidated the project, right?

No, he gave Rogers another 30 days.

What the hell is going on here? If he doesen’t have the money, why the 30 days? He has had two years to secure financing on this project - and here we are - so another 30 days does what?
