Real Leadership!
I cannot tell you how proud I am that my alma mater and employer, Boise State University, is getting rid of GroupWise, and moving to Google Apps! How awesome! I have got to give props to our CIO, David O’Neill (David you really need a page on the Boise State Website/Pronetos/LinkedIn . . . ) for having the vision to get rid of that old, stagnant, proprietary, EXPENSIVE, software, and going with applications that will save us some money. PLUS everyone is already using Google calendar and gmail anyway, so you get the bonus of actual productivity since people won’t have to maintain professional and personal calendars in two separate applications. Good work David!

They may not have two separate applications, they will still have two separate pages.
I love Google Aps as much as the next uber geek but I was a little disappointed. Google Aps for domains lacks the full customization that the free version gives you (???) and it doesn’t integrate with your personal account (I’m sure that was to make the corp types happy).
I’ll be interested to find out your opinion when you make the switch. Although I imagine anything has to be better than what your already using.

Tac: I get all of my mail, and all of my calendar items on one screen. Pronetos uses Google apps, and I have all of that stuff fed into my original g-mail account . . .

Well that is good. Apparently they made some changes there.
