Idaho Governor Disbands Science and Technology Advisory Council
I know, I know. You can’t believe that we actually HAVE a tech council in Idaho. Well now we don’t. Boise’s paper of record, the Idaho Statesman reported today that the Governor disbanded STAC. Basically the short story is the panel made a whole series of recommendations to the Guv, he tossed ‘em all in the wastebucket, STAC got mad and went around his helmet trying to sell their plan to the legislature, and the Guv got mad. Fair enough; that was bad form. Still Guv, NO science and tech advisory council?
Oh - I found this picture of the Governor announcing the disbanding of the council:
In the wake of the news that even the Governor’s Commerce Director is urging the state to plan for Micron’s departure, someone better start advising somebody about something.
