I told you that LGM cares about the communities we live in, supports sustainable development, and supports the Humane Society and all that stuff. Now, Shane is out to walk the talk.

Shane will run for a seat on the Albion City Council. Albion, at the base of Pomerelle Mountain, is one of Southern Idaho’s emerging recreation destinations. Fueled by new growth and the recent sale of the Albion Normal School property, incoming City Council members will have their work cut out for them.

Shane’s years of government experience and entrepreneurial spirit are just what Albion needs as it contemplates its position in a growing southern Idaho.

Shane is the founder or co-founder of several companies including Pronetos, Inc., a social networking site and publisher exclusively for scholars, Lucky Mother, a social betting site, and Unhampered, an on-line community for artists, and retailer of unique t-shirt designs.

He is also a founding board member of the Southern Idaho Chapter of Kickstand, an organization dedicated exclusively to supporting small and start-up technology companies in the Magic Valley. Shane earned his degree at Clark College.

His campaign will focus on issues of importance to Albion residents, such as how to plan for appropriate growth in the City, and provide for improved roads while maintaining Albion’s quality of life.
