This is absolutely hilarious:
LGM needs an icon like the falcon - or better yet, a brand . . .
Just about any organization could learn a lesson from this Priceline video. After seeing the “Falcon of Truth” commercial on TV, I had to show it around to a few people. I went to Google and typed in “Falcon of truth” expecting to find links to a few sites where someone might have grabbed this commercial and stuck it on their site. But Priceline surprised me. Search result number one on Google was none other than falconoftruth.com.
The website features a full length shot of Shatner in some crazy pose. There’s also the commercial, the outtakes, falcon of truth and Priceline ringtones for your mobile, and on and on. What an extension of the brand! You’ve got to hand it to to Priceline who anticipated that the commercials would be a success. You also have to admire their flexible attitude toward Copyright. Anyone that wants to can link to the commercials, or embed them in their own website. That’s smart - but few vendors do it! Heck - if I spent money to make a commercial and someone wanted to embed it in their site, I’d let ‘em. In fact, I really wish LGM had a logo that people could embed in their sites. When we get one, you have my permission to advertise - I mean ‘display’ my brand as much as you want.
